.TH Sx_MenuGetInfo sx .B1 .NA Sx_MenuGetInfo \- return information about a menu .SY #include <X/Xlib.h> #include <sx.h> .sp int Sx_MenuGetInfo(\fIwindow, entries, fontPtrPtr, foregroundPtr, backgroundPtr\fP) .sp .AR .AS Sx_MenuEntry backgroundPtr .AP Window window in X identifier for the window displaying the menu's name (i.e. the return value from a previous Sx_MenuCreate call). .AP Sx_MenuEntry entries[] out Array of menu entries to fill in with information about the menu in \fIwindow\fP, or NULL if no detailed menu information is to be returned. If non-NULL, must point to an array with at least SX_MAX_MENU_ENTRIES entries. .AP FontInfo **fontPtrPtr out Pointer to location to fill in with pointer to font information for menu. If NULL, no font information is returned. .AP int foregroundPtr out Pointer to location to fill in with foreground color used for menu, or NULL if no foreground color information is to be returned. .AP int backgroundPtr out Pointer to location to fill in with background color used for menu, or NULL if no background color information is to be returned. .B2 .SH DESCRIPTION .PP Sx_MenuGetInfo returns detailed information about a menu, given the window containing its name. The return value is a count of the number of entries in the menu, or -1 if \fIwindow\fP isn't a menu window at all. In addition, the locations referred to by \fIentries\fP, \fIfontPtrPtr\fP, \fIforegroundPtr\fP, and \fIbackgroundPtr\fP get filled in with information about the menu's entries, font, and colors. All of this information is identical in structure and meaning to the information passed to Sx_MenuCreate. The string pointers stored in \fIentries\fP all refer to strings stored in the menu manager as part of the menu; they should not be modified by the caller, nor should they be used at all after any future actions that could have caused the menu to be destroyed. .SH KEYWORDS color, entry, pull-down menu, window
