truncate \- takes a floating point image and generates a graytone image

truncate [input.var [output.var]]
.SH "DESCRIPTION"
This takes a floating point var file and generates a graytone
var file by truncating the pixels.
If no arguments then its a pipe.
If only input is given output to stdout.
Otherwise input
and output is specified.
This routine can be useful in turning a floating point image into
an image displayed on a screen.
