            QUINTET HELP!
The Quintet help pages are designed to 
give you on-line assistance when you 
start to use the system.

Help information is displayed in a 
window which varies in size depending 
on the topic being described.  
Sometimes a topic takes more than one 
window to explain.

If there is more information to 
follow, use the Page Down key to 
display the next page.  To exit from 
the help pages, press the Esc key.

You can move the Help pages to another 
position on the screen which is useful 
if you want to see the area of the 
spreadsheet which has been hidden by 
the window.

To move the window, press the Scroll 
Lock key and then use the Arrow keys 
to move in the direction you require.  
After positioning, press the Scroll 
Lock again to restore the Arrow keys 
to their normal use.

When QT is run the system displays the 
desktop with menu options.  These 
menus are called gallery menus and you 
can move around the gallery by using 
the Arrow keys and the current 
selection is highlighted.  To select 
an option just press the Return key.

The number of gallery options 
available to you will depend on how 
many QT modules are installed.  The 
system will automatically detect which 
modules are present.

Today's date will appear at the bottom 
of the screen.  If your computer keeps 
track of the date then it will be 
updated for you automatically.

If your computer does not keep track 
of time then QT remembers the last 
date used and this will be displayed.  
To move forward a day press the Date 
key and to move back a day use the - 
Date key.

         DESKTOP UTILITIES
If you have the desktop utilities 
these will be available to you at the 
press of one keystroke. These are:

Calculator            Press Calc
Calendar and Diary    Press Diary
Notepad               Press Notepad

The desktop utilites can be moved by 
using the Scroll Lock key followed by 
the Arrow keys depending on the 
direction you want to move in.

            FILE BROWSER
You can use the file browser to look 
at the files stored on disk. The 
browser can be moved around the screen 
by using the Scroll Lock key followed 
by the Arrow keys.

Press Esc to finish with the browser.

       FINISH WITH THE SYSTEM
To finish using the system, select the 
exit option using the Arrow keys and 
press Return.  You will then return to 
the operating system.
