If the vi editor gets killed, it saves the file being edited in the
directory /usr/preserve (it can be recovered with the command vi -r).
The idea here is to make cron remove all such saved files if they are
more that 7 days old.
The removal takes place at 12:10 each day - an arbitrary time. But
note that it makes sense to choose different times for such actions so
that the system doesn't suddenly get overloaded by a bunch of simulta-
neous commands started up by cron.
