Module id number: CSS/129
--------------------------
Module name: HEXDUMP/VDUDUMP
-----------------------------------
Actual release: 04.01 Release date: 860814
----------------------- --------------------
Previous release: 03.02 Release date: 851209
----------------------- --------------------
New facilities:
---------------
<< 0301 >>
The file size is no longer restricted to 64K words (PR 996).
In fact files of any size may be dumped.
In VDUDUMP:
When the computer asks if you want more output, it is now possible
to switch to a byte address mode and switch back to word address
mode. The letters used are 'T' or 't' for byteS and 'W' or 'w' for
Words.
In HEXDUMP:
The dump length is 16 words/line per default but may be changed by
means of the 'D' parameter to any value in the range 1..16. Thus you
achieve a better data compression in some cases.
In VDUDUMP:
The line length is 8 words/line per default but may be changed each
time the computer asks if you want more output. The syntax is
L<n> or l<n> , <n> ::= <integer>
Legal range is 1..16. You should use this facility to achieve
data compression in cases where the repeating pattern has a
length which is not a multiplum of 8.
The line length may also be changed in the parameter file by means
of the 'D' parameter described above.
<< 0201 >>
IN VDUDUMP:
When the computer asks if you want more output, it is now possible
to answer with a hexadecimal address. The next page of output will
then begin at the specified address.
When a output file is specified in the call, all data shown at the
VDU will also be in the file.
Changes:
