Actual release: 03.06 Release date: 850523
----------------------- --------------------
Previous release: 03.05 Release date: 840520
----------------------- --------------------
New facilities:
---------------
<<0305>>
A new command OUTPUTPROMLENGTH is introduced. it must be
specified if a prom is split into several proms.
The PROMLENGTH (given by ADDRESSBITNUMBER) must be
a multipla of OUTPUTPROMLENGTH.
The default value is PROMLENGTH.
<< 0304 >>
The maximum prom width is now 96.
<< 0303 >>
A new command INPUTPROMLENGTH is introduced. It must be
specified if several proms (in the same file) are concatinated
into one prom. All proms in the input file must be of equal size
and equal to INPUTPROMLENGTH.
Default is PROMLENGTH, which is equal to
2**ADDRESSBITNUMBER.
If INPUTPROMLENGTH is greater then PROMLENGTH, it is
truncated to PROMLENGTH, which means that only one
prom is generated containing the first part of the input prom.
If one forgets to specify INPUTPROMLENGTH and the size of the
input proms are less then 2**ADDRESSBITNUMBER then PROMCV will
terminate with the message:
UNECPECTED ETX IN INPUT FILE
2**ADDRESSBITNUMBER must be a multipla of INPUTPROMLENGTH.
If not, PROMCV will terminate with the message:
INVALID INPUTPROMLENGTH
If the input file contains too few proms, PROMCV will display:
ERROR: EOF DURING SEARCH FOR STARTCHARACTER
