6.2.1 I̲n̲s̲p̲e̲c̲t̲i̲o̲n̲
The unit is inspected for loose or missing screws, knobs etc. and that there is no
damage to the finishing.
The list of all accessories is checked and collated. The unit is connected to the
mains, and if it is not workableas a stand-alone equipment it is connected to test
equipment or connected as part of a system. The unit is switched "on", and it is
observed that it presumable is functioning, and after approximately 15 minutes that
no smoke, excessive heat or smel is generated.
6.2.2 T̲e̲s̲t̲
The basis for the test is the functional test described in para 3.4.
Additional to this test a verification of the claimed MTBF is performed on a sample
basis.
(For V.D.U.'s 10 samples out of 400 units will be usd). This verification is performed
