1 Package Description (this docu -
     ment)

Purpose of package
This package contain the develop-
ment toolset to be used for develop-
ment of Real Time Pascal programs
that can be executed on MAC241
and MAC242 controllers.

Reason for Release
Correction of errors.

Requirements
SW50070 requires:
     Unix workstation
     Vpix
     SW2114 Real Time Pascal Compi-
     ler rel 2.19
     SW51020 RcPAX ISO Presenta-
     tion Layer
Occam 2 Toolset from INMOS and
     appropriate development board
     SW50050 MegaSwitch Basic
     Software, rel 4.1
     SW51100 MegaSwitch Interwor-
     king, rel 4.1

If SW50070 is used in a DOS en-
virronment, the shell scripts and the
makejob cannot be used.

Documentation

     Router Software, Reference Ma-
     nual, june 1991. PN: 99001338.
     This manual gives a functional
     description of the software modu-
     les included. Futhermore a detail-
ed description of the RTP pro-
gramming-interfaces are given.

     Slides from "BNK-Temadag om

Corrections and Enhancements
Changes since release 1.0:

LineConnector and LinkBus is up-
dated as described in the package
description af SW51100 rel. 4.1.

DES-descriptions of relevant mo-
dules are included. All are updated
since sw50512 rel. 3.0.

The requestset zmacc.r8z is inclu-
ded.

All basic RTP envirronments are
updated. sys5000.env is not inclu-
ded any more.

Filename extension of precompiled
RTP programs are changed to .tah
for execution on transputer part and
.t22 for execution on RC5000 CPU
respectively. Thus also the file
x25/makefile have changed and the
file mxtrtp.lah are used instead of
mxtrtp.l4h.

931015.1: NCP poll of RTP LCPs did
not function because of an error in
Mopsys.

Limitations and Recommenda-
tions
The file mxt.btl can be generated by
calling "make" in the /usr/mega/x25
directory. The compiled files from
X.25/X.75 access software are
assumed to be present.

The makejob is functioning with
SW2114 rel 2.19, the toolset
D705B from INMOS and SW95707I
VP/ix Multi-user Release 1.2 from
ICL DATA with the following con-
figuration.

The vpix setup files are included for
information only. Four different con-
figurations are used in this setup:
     vpix.cnf use no special devices.
vpix1.cnf use A: as floppy drive.
vpix2.cnf use TDS device. TDS is
     defined as a nonstandard device.
     vpix3.cnf use TDS3 device. TDS3
is defined as a nonstandard devi-
     ce.
By means of shell scripts using this
configuration, a user is able to use
different devices dependent of the
purpose. Especially it is possible to
use 2 inmos development boards at
the same time.

A number of shell scripts etc. are
used by the makefiles:
submake: activates a makefile in a
     subdirectory.
     crm: conditional remove. If the
files does not exits no error mes-
     sage is generated.
     evenlen.com: DOS program that if
necessary extends a .btl file to
     have even length to overcome
problems in the RC8000 plib pro-
     grams.
     dos: executes the following com-
     mand (normally "do") and remo-
     ves the file $1.ok (normally
"do.ok") if no errors have oc-
     cured.
     do: DOS batchjob, executes the
     following command (DOS pro-
gram), writes "OK" in the file
do.ok if the command is executed
     succesfully, and finally vpix is
     terminated.
     tdsreserve: reserves the tds sy-
     stem given in parameter $1.
     tdsrelease: releases the tds sy-
     stem given in parameter $1.
     tdsb: executes the following com-
mand with reservation of the tds
system and use vpix3.cnf con-
figuration. After use the tds sy-
stem is released. This scheme
assures that a makejob is never
stopped, because the tds system
is used by someone else.
     tdsc: corresponds to tdsb, but
     uses vpix2.cnf configuration.
     floppy: corresponds to tdsb, but
     uses vpix1.cnf configuration.
     mak: executes makejob and prints
output on both screen and the file
     named by parameter $1.

rtppar: used for generation of .rci
     files (RTP parameter files).
     rtplink.vii: command to vi editor,
     changes extention from .c4h to
.t4h on a list of files.
awkp: command to awk, used for
     generation of the file mxtmem.inc
to find the right addresss from the
     file mxt.map.

The PI-5 utilities comprise:
rtplink: "links" all lbdr chains of
RTP programs so they can be
     used as input for ilink.
rtptrace: takes a dump as input
and prints a stacktrace for an ex-
ception if a such have occured.
rtpvers: prints version and date for
     for compiled RTP programs.

Installation

home directory of users using the
development toolset.

All software must be installed in the
directory /usr/mega and in the sub-
directory defined in the Identification
of files section.
