CHRCONV is a program to convert input characters from a text file \r
to zero, one or more output characters, written to another file.\r
The conversion is driven by a table, possible constructed by the\r
user, and read in from a text file before conversion starts.\r
\r
▶02◀CHRCONV▶02◀ is called as follows:\r
\r
  CHRCONV <text file 1> <text file 2> [<option> ... ]\r
\r
\r
where\r
\r
<text file 1>: Name of the file containing the text file to be\r
               converted.\r
               The file name must be given. \r
\r
<text file 2>: Name of the file recieving the converted text.\r
               The file name must be given.\r
\r
<Option>: Is one or more of the following: /t: /x:\r
               Se next page for details.\r

\r
▶02◀Options:▶02◀\r
\r
/▶02◀T▶02◀able:<file name> \r
               Name of file containing conversion table \r
               information. Format of input is outlined on the \r
               folowing page.         \r
               Default: No table is read, but a table equivalent\r
               of COPY is constructed internaly.\r
               \r
/▶02◀X▶02◀ray:{ on | off }\r
              Governs the production of test output.\r
              Default /x:off\r
               \r

\r
The table is initialized by one of the folowing key_words:\r
     ▶02◀U▶02◀nique which initializes a one to one mapping\r
     ▶02◀F▶02◀old which initializes chars 128-255 mapped onto 0-127\r
     ▶02◀Del▶02◀ete which initialized all chars to empty\r
\r
If tabulation conversion is desired, a DETAB definition must be given \r
in order to set the TAB-stops wanted:\r
     ▶02◀Det▶02◀ab  = < tab_list >\r
     < tab_list > ::= < tabs > | < tabs > ,  * < increment >\r
     < tabs >     ::= < tab_pos > | < tabs > , < tab_pos >\r
\r
Each character which has a mapping other than Unique/Fold must be listed\r
seperate in the folowing syntax:\r
     < code > =  < processing > ( < chr_list > ) < comment >\r
     < code > ::= character code value expressed in base 10.\r
     < chr_list > ::= < code > | < chr_list > , < code >\r
     < processing > ::=  Copy | Stop | Tab\r

\r
Conversion table file example:\r
\r
Unique\r
Detab = 11, 18, 30, *10\r
32 = Copy ( 32, 33, 34 ) Strange treatment of space, just for fun\r
33 = Co (  )             Delete  exclamation sign\r
34 = C ( 34, 34)\r
123 = copy ( 40, 42 )       {   ->   (*\r
125 = copy ( 42, 41 )       }   ->   *)\r
26 = Stop ( 25)     Stop conversion when SUB is met.\r
12 = Tab ( 32 )     HT is TABULATION character\r
256 = St ( 25 )     256 = Pseudo character, representing End Of File\r
257 = c ( 13, 10 )  Pseudo character, representing CR LF combination\r
258 = c ( 13, 11 )  Pseudo character, representing LF CR combination\r
