.TH OSIMON 1 "December 1988"
.SH NAME
osimon \- monitors osi transport layer activity
.SH SYNOPSIS
.B osimon [ <host> | all ]
.SH DESCRIPTION
Osimon monitors ISODE transport layer activity.
It displays management information which is dynamically updated
in the case of significant events.
It uses the curses package for screen management,
so it may be run on a large range of cursor addressable terminals.
.LP
Two types of display are supported: the first concentrates
on transport layer activity on one system and provides
information on existing transport entities and their connections.
The second provides entries for all managed systems,
displaying the number of current connections and
information on the whole transport layer activity
for each system up to that moment.
.LP
The selection of the monitor type is done through the command
line argument i.e.
.B osimon orange
monitors transport activity on host orange while
.B osimon all
monitors activity on all supported hosts.
If no argument is supplied, a list of hosts on which management
services are supported
is displayed and the selection may be done interactively.
.LP
If the display exceeds the size of a full screen, editor type
commands may be used for scrolling.
