.TH clover 1 "6 March 1989" "X Version 11" .SH NAME clover \- a color map hack for X .SH SYNTAX .B clover [ \fIoptions\fR ] .SH DESCRIPTION .I Clover draws a symmetric image and animates it by manipulating the display's colormap. Clover tries very hard to be ICCCM compliant, which means that it counts on the window manager to install its private color map. The animation won't be apparent until you get the window manager's attention (usually by directing input focus to clover's window). .PP The animation speed varies \- clicking in the window resets the delay between steps to the inital value. Typing 'q' in the window terminates the program. .SH OPTIONS In addition to the standard X toolkit command line and resource options, .I clover understands three others: .TP .BI -colors \ n Use at most .I n colormap cells for the animation. The default is MAX(15, sizeof(colorMap)). More colors make for a more interesting display, but can slow things down considerably. .TP .BI -radius \ r Use .I r as the `radius' of the image. .TP .BI -speed \ s Use .I s as the inital delay between steps in the animation. .PP The default geometry value covers the entire display. .SH NOTE .I Clover can only run on a display with a .IR PseudoColor , .IR DirectColor , or .I GrayScale visual.
