THE TELEBIT-UUNET DOCUMENTATION ARCHIVE
UUNET Communications Services in cooperation with TELEBIT Corporation has begun
an archive within their publicly available sources directory for TELEBIT
configurations and product literature. Instructions for retrieving these
documents via UUCP or FTP are as follows:
ALTERNET OR INTERNET FTP
To access the UUNET archives using "anonymous" FTP, execute the following
commands:
ftp uunet.uu.net OR ftp 192.48.96.2
login: anonymous
password: <your company name>
ftp> dir telebit-info OR ftp> ls telebit-info (list directory)
ftp> get telebit-info/ls-lR.Z (one file)
OR
ftp> mget telebit-info/PRODUCTS (multiple files)
ftp> close
These documents are also available from the Internet, EUnet,
JUnet, and ACSnet for "anonymous" FTP at the following systems
(ALL FILES ARE COMPRESSED!):
INTERNET: uunet.uu.net [192.48.96.2]
EUNET: mcsun.EU.net [192.16.202.1]
JUNET: ftp.cs.titech.ac.jp [131.112.16.39]

UUCP
UUCP can be used via the USEnet by a system with access to UUNET or by using
the UUNET archives access number: 1-900-GOT-SRCS (1-900-468-7727). This
"900" number charges $ .40 US per minute to the caller. Instructions are as
follows:
1) Configure your system for UUCP use and add an entry to your L.sys or
Systems file similar to the example below:
uunet Any cua0 19200 cua0 "" ATX0S50=255S110=1S111=30DT19004687727\r
CONNECT "" login: uucp
NOTE: This entry is meant to be ONE line.
2) Issue the following command to request TELEBIT documentation:
uucp -r1 uunet\!~ftp/telebit-info/ls-lR.Z <your directory>
This command requests a listing of the files in telebit-info. For a
listing of the UUNET source archives execute:
uucp -r1 uunet!~ftp/ls-lR.Z <your directory>
All files are compressed using Lempel-Ziv compression and need to be
uncompressed after downloading. A compress.tar file is available in
the archive with sources to the compression command. Simply request
uunet\!~ftp/compress.tar.
3) Issue the following command to start the file transfer:
uucico -r1 -x9 -suunet
The UUCICO level 9 debug is enabled in this example. A level 4 debug
is also useful and less verbose. This option need not be used.
