This version of Poker, plays Five Card Draw Poker, with
no wild cards. The game is played between two opponents,
although any reasonable number can usually play. A standard
pack of 52 cards is used, Aces high, 2's low.

Poker is a gambling game, so each player is given an
initial stake of 300. To ensure that betting does not get
unreasonably out of hand, bets are limited to multiples of
5, between 5 and 25, and there is a maximum of six bets or
raises allowed, after which, one player must stop the bet-
ting by Calling.

At the start of each deal, each player must put an _▶08◀a_▶08◀n_▶08◀t_▶08◀e
of 5 units, into the _▶08◀p_▶08◀o_▶08◀t. This is to ensure that there is
always some money at stake, as an incentive to play.

Each player is dealt five cards. The object of the
game is to win the contents of the pot, with the best hand
of cards. There are two rounds of betting (adding money to
the pot). The betting choices available to a player are
explained below, and are the same in each round, but after
the first round of betting, a maximum of three cards can be
discarded from the hand, and replaced, in order to improve
it. The second round of betting then takes place, and at
the end of this, the person with the best hand wins the pot.

When betting, the person who goes first has the choices:

a) Bet : add money to the pot, which the other player will
     have to equal.

b) Drop : Throw in your hand, adding no more money, and
     automatically lose the pot.

c) Stay : Do nothing, and see what the opponent does. In
this case the opponent will get these same options. If
s/he chooses to stay as well, then both hands are dis-
carded, and two new ones dealt. The pot is left, but
there is another ante, for the new hand, added to it.

If the first player chooses to Bet, then on each subse-
quent player's turn, the options are :

a) Drop : as above, losing automatically.

b) Raise : equal the last bet and add more to it. This
option is not allowed after a certain number of bets.

c) Call : equal the last bet, then compare hands with the
opponent to see who wins the pot.

If a player chooses to drop, he does not reveal the cards he
held.

The order of the hands, used to determine who wins, is:

          Hand value :-

Royal Flush : a Straight Flush in Hearts.
Straight Flush : a sequence of five cards in the same suit,
Ace may count as high or low for this.
Four of a Kind : a hand containing four cards of the same rank.
Four Aces is highest, 2's lowest.
Full House : a hand containing 3 cards of one rank, and two
of another. The rank of the three card set
			      determines the better Full House.
Flush : a hand containing five cards of the same suit.
Straight : a sequence of five cards, in any suit.
Three of a Kind : a hand containing three cards of the same rank.
Two pair : a hand containing two cards of one rank, and
two of another. The highest pair determines
precedence. If the same, the low pair does,
			      else the fifth card.
Pair : a hand containing two cards of the same rank.
The highest pair wins, and if the same, the
			      highest remaining card decides.
High card : an assortment of cards that does not satisy
any of the above. The highest card determines
precedence, if the same, then the next and so on.

In the unlikely event of a draw, the pot will be untouched,
and another hand played.

Each player is allowed to build up a deficit (a negative
stake) during one hand. This is the equivalent of accepting
collateral to cover a bet, and prevents a player from being forced
out through lack of money. Any player on, or less than, zero
at the start of a deal has lost the overall game. The game will
then restart, after informing the player of this.
