transfig \- creates a Makefile for portable figures

.SH DESCRIPTION
.I Transfig
creates a Makefile to translate figures described in Fig code
into a specified TeX graphics \fIlanguage\fR.
The Fig files can be specified either with or without the suffix ".fig" .
Transfig also creates a file named "transfig.tex" appropriate to
the target language.
.SH OPTIONS
The \fIlanguage\fR specifier must be either
.T
.B pictex, postscript, or
.B latex.
If no language is specified, pictex is the default.
If no files are specified, the "*.fig" is assumed.
