Dear Anthya.                                      Copenhagen 27 09 82

  I schould have written to you a long time ago, but time has been running
away with me. I started allready to work on august 23, and that was a major 
mistake. I schould have taken some holliday's before,
but when I was visiting the University asking them if I could
start on september first, the answer was NO,
I could start immidiatly, and they gave me all the work ( errors to be
corrected) which they have been waiting for me to do.

  You was talking about only staying a half a year, and then go home.
There is only one thing to say about that: DON'T.There is nothing
to come home for. All the things you think you are missing, you realy
don't need, and the stupid rules in Chine are not more stupid than ours
( O.K. I don't know much about Australia, but it is proberly more like
Denmark than China) just different stupid. Stay as long as you can, 
and be a clever girl and learn to speak Chinese, read and write as well.

  Both Vibeke from Nanjing, Birgitte Goldberg ( uh - uh ) and Mette
have lost there lovers ( or boyfreinds or what ever you call them), 
and I have great fights with my girlfreind. We are not realy fit
for each others and specially not to live together ( we was only
living together 2 month before I left for China). A good question is
if I am able to live with anybody at all. I meet Mette last saterday,
she is still living in her old lovers apartment , while he is living with
her new girlfreind, but she is moving to a new appartment in november.
She is not realy happy, and tells me that the new girlfreind is ugly
and stupid. I have seen the girl and she is not exactly ugly, not
at all, she migth be stupid  though.

  Vibeke and I had a nice train ride home. We hit one cow in Mongolia
( which the train drivers had to pay for apprently) and one man in
Sibiria ( he was just trown down of the tracks, they cleaned the front 
of the engine on the next station). We did'nt stop in Mockba, because
we was able to get an direct train to Copenhagen, because we bribed the
russian train conductor with one of Vibekes casette tapes, so he made a 
telegram from Novo Sibirsk to Mockba to make the reservation. The
Interturist in Mockba is more unpolite and unefficient than anything
in China ( belive it or not). If it had'nt been for an african liuxuesheng
( female and beautifull and russian speaking) we had been there still.
The local lisxuesheng in russia takes to Westberlin for R. and R. like
some in China takes to Hong Kong. 

  Because I was the travel leader on the trip, I had all Vibekes papers,
(passport, student card ect.) and because the wellcome comite to
Vibeke wass so great, I forgot to hand the stuff over to her. So one 
day we found out that we would go together  to see a film
everybody else had seen, so nobody would go with us ( its the best 
film I have seen for years, its is swedish and called : ' The simpleminded
Killer', its with real angels and the greatets use of music and
pictures seen for years)
(back to the real story) therefore I just took the litle thing I had 
all my and her papers in and took it with me to work. During the lunch 
break some bastard sneaked into my office an stole the whole lot.
All my personal papers and Vibekes to. I was'nt realy happy about 
the fact that I had to go and tell her that I had lost har  passport
and xueshengzhang form Nanjing, specially because she have taken up
practicing karate in order to keep her Tai-qi-quan fit. She took it nice
though, and said that it wasn't so bad. Lucky enough a jogger from the 
royal danish jogging and gymnastic institute found the whole set
under a bench in a nearby park, the same evening so everything is back 
to normal now. Nothing was lost exept 1 Yuan in chineese money ( not
the funny ones) so it can't realy be claimed to be the crimenal case
of the year, allthough I felt it like that.

  Please write your new address and also Mamulamus in Wuhan. Is Jane still  
around, or has she left for the Astarlian spring. If you need 
anything I can send you, then don't hesitate to write it to me. I include
a letter to Miss C. Would you give it to her from me. I will also send her
some stuff later for the typewritter, please give it to her. 

  Have fun and try to be a san hao xuesheng. Im still sorry about I
did not have the chance to say goodbye proberly to you, because I think
you is a wery nice person.
