VGA Card User Notes - 84-003012-000 - page 1\r

Microsoft Mouse and IBM PS/2 Mouse Users\r
****************************************\r
If you are installing your mouse driver by way of a program such as MOUSE.COM\r
or have your mouse driver installed through the CONFIG.SYS file, you may have \r
problems when using the VGA.EXE utility to switch to non-VGA Hercules, CGA or\r
MDA modes.\r
\r
When using the Microsoft Mouse driver version 6.1 or the IBM PS/2 Mouse driver\r
version 1.0 you will need to use a special procedure when switching from VGA\r
mode to Hercules or CGA modes. Rather than choosing "Set Hercules Mode" then\r
"Exit to DOS," you should choose "Set Hercules Mode" then execute the menu\r
option to "Reboot System in Current Mode." This option will allow your system\r
to re-initialize in the currently selected video mode. At this point you\r
should re-install your mouse, or if your mouse is installed in CONFIG.SYS, it\r
will re-install automatically.\r
