_r_e_b_o_o_t with no options reboots the current PU. The _r_e_b_o_o_t
command should be executed from the console connected to the
     PU you wish to reboot.

Note that processes are not killed in rebooting.

The _s_h_u_t_d_o_w_n(8) command is used to notify logged-in users
that the system is about to go down. _r_e_b_o_o_t options are
     listed below.

----gggg Reboot all PUs on this global system. Default is the
          current PU.

----qqqq Reboot quickly and uuuunnnngracefully. This option
suppresses log entries in ////uuuussssrrrr////aaaaddddmmmm////wwwwttttmmmmpppp and

even the local root is sync'ed.

----ssss Sync all file systems belonging to this PU. This is
          the default.

----dddd Dump. A panic is provoked causing the system to take a
          dump as described in _c_r_a_s_h(8).

----nnnn do not sync file systems except for the local root.

_r_e_b_o_o_t causes the local root to be sync'ed before initiating
     the _r_e_b_o_o_t in multi-user mode.

If the TX system is running with users, use the _s_h_u_t_d_o_w_n
     command (which notifies users).
