This document applies to the test of version 01 release
01 of the Protocol Converter Maintenance Controller
(MAC) package.
The following figures obtained from the file
***** a *PC ̲LIB*PC.D*MAC.D*LINK.D*V0101.D*MAC.LP may be used
for identification:
o PROGRAM SIZE: 2576
o PROCESS SIZE: 1580

PC crate equipped with the following modules:
One CPU-SCM single bus, CR8002M. SCM PROM's are CR1903,
CR1904, and CR1905 containing the hard disk bootloader
identified as CSS/123 version 0601.
Two 128 kW RAM, CR8016M. The uppermost memory section
(#3) is used for disk controller RAM.
Two CR8086 single bus LTU's located at addresses #11
(LTUA) and #10 (LTUB).
One Floppy Disk Controller, CR8047D with HW address
= #8.
One Disk Controller, CR8044D in HW address #32.
The Disk Controller RAM occupies the lower 32 kW in
RAM page 3, which must be disabled. During the test,
an extra 4 k segment from address 32 k (address #8000
to #9000) is disabled in order to verify the RAM test
program.
One DELTA 7260TC Tempest VDU, version V2.1D.
One TEXAS INSTRUMENTS printer, omni 800, model 840
monitored from the VDU keyboard.
The VDU is connected to the SCM module via an OPTO
transmitter receiver, CR80108 and a patch panel.
One CDC Cartridge Module Drive (CMD) connected to the
disk controller, serial no.: 4149.
One Floppy Disk Station, CR8308.

CSS/123, V0601 Hard Disk Bootloader for copying software
from disk to memory addresses specified in the bootmodule
headers.
Boot module for unit test of CI V0104 specified to
be bootloaded into page 2 of the RAM in order to simulate
the existence of the EPROM. This boot module looks
a lot like the application software to be loaded when
PC enters mode LOCAL. See reference 4, section 4.1.

Prepare a boot module as described in the text file:
***** a *PC ̲LIB*PC.D*MAC.D*TEST.D*TEST ̲SPEC.T
Follow the procedure given in Appendix A in order to
copy the boot file from the floppy disk to the CMD
disk of the test system.
Once the boot module has been copied to the CMD, obtain
the BFD number of the boot file. This number has to
be input to the bootloader.
User commands for copying the boot module to the CMD
are shown underlined in Appendix A.

MAC executes commands entered from the VDU. Upon completion,
a result line is presented to the operator:
keyword EXECUTED, RESULT = XXXX
where
***** keyword is either CHECK or DUMP
and
XXXX is 0000 if no errors are found
In case of errors, XXXX will contain D0YY, YY is one
of the following constants:
