Details:

1. The Function Key Bar (activated by clicking on the "F?" icon) now contains
active buttons. Clicking one of these is equivalent to pressing the
associated function key or shifted function key.
Control-F1-F7 are the "Item" keys. Clicking these buttons will open a
dialog box containing active buttons with all possible operations for that
    item.
    E. G. If I want to do Object - Delete, instead of pressing "control-F1"
then "d", I can now click the "Object" button in the Function Key Bar, then
the "delete" button in the resulting dialog box.

2. Shift-F2 is now the demote key with identical meaning as in the old
user interface. Prompt For has been moved to Shift-F1.
Home Library has been moved to Shift-F10. File Properties has been punted.
Note: this is available in the File menu, or by typing meta-F then "t".

There is a new quick-reference guide that reflects these changes.
In the documentation directory of this release (Hint: the directory from
which you got the document you are reading!) you find a file:
"Rat_Access_Quick_Ref_Ps". If you print this (with options = raw), you
will get a hard copy of this guide.

3. Responding to a grass roots outcry from the user community, the promote key
now does exactly what it used to do in the environment.

4. When the keyboard focus is in the Rational windows portion of your screen,
"F1" is "what.does" as before. If you are in the main menu or a
submenu, this key will give you help. If you are in a dialog box that
has a "help" button, this key is equivalent to clicking that button.

5. Suggestions/Enhancements:
    a. Job Connect and Job Disconnect have been added to the Session menu.
    b. All references to "CM" have been changed to "CMVC".
    c. When help is requested for a topic not in the database, a table of
contents is displayed. (In prior versions a blank box was displayed.)
    d. The "topic" window in the help box is live. You may edit text in the
window. Help information for the topic will be displayed when you hit
       <RETURN>.

6. Bugs fixed:
    a. Function keys don't work when mouse in window mgmt area. (Keyboard Focus)
    b. Added entries to upper pane of image directory window need resizing
       to appear.
    c. If I specify a title, I still get part of the -e command in the title.
    d. Unreadable Icons for last 2 buttons. (Made new ones.)
    e. Fix synchronization problem between keystrokes and mouse clicks.
    f. Image Palette duplication when hitting the refresh key too quickly.
    g. 'Help on version' coloring is inconsistent.
