This view contains an implementation of the proposed standards for
primitive and elementary mathematical functions, as defined by the
ISO-IEC/JTC1/SC22/WG9 (Ada), to be used on a Rational R1000 architecture.

o The directory Documents contains the text of both proposed standards
   and rationale for the standards.

o The package specifications Generic_Primitive_Functions and
Generic_Elementary_Functions follow the specification given in the
   proposed standards.

o The corresponding bodies are R1000 specific implementations created based
   upon the books:
      - "Software Manual for the Elementary Functions"
by William J. Cody, Jr. and William Waite
Prentice-Hall Series in Computational Mathematics, 1980
      - "Scientific Ada",
         by B. Ford, J.Kok, M.W.Rogers,
         Cambridge University Press, 1986
      - "Computer Approximations"
by John F. Hart et. al,
         Krieger Publishing 1968

 o Packages Primitive_Functions and Elementary_Functions are
the instances recommended by the proposed standard for the predefined
   type Float.
