-- PROGRAM: TRACK WITH COVARIANCE MATRIX - 9 DIGITS

-- RESPONSIBLE PROGRAMMERS: R. W. Peterson
-- D. R. Hoff

-- DATE: 4/8/87

-- SCOPE:

-- The goal of this test is to measure the Track mathematical
-- program when its data is declared mostly as a FLOAT type with 9
-- digits. There is also a FLOAT and INTEGER types and the
-- standard Track program (mostly FIXED data) as well as a 6 digit version.
-- Also, there is a Pragma suppress version for all.

-- PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

-- The track benchmark program was originally designed
-- for a JOVIAL Compiler. It is an iterative program which
-- initializes then updates a mathematical matrix, which represents
-- a covariance matrix. The Kalman gains are calculated and then used
-- to update the matrix. It has complicated scaling considerations,
-- but with quite straight forward logic.
-- CALENDAR is called at the beginning and at
-- the end of the program execution to give the program execution
-- time.

-- SPECIAL EFFECTS:

-- Separate versions of this program have PRAGMA SUPPRESS
-- of the constraint_error range_check and numeric_error division
-- and overflow checks.
