-- PROGRAM: TRACK WITH COVARIANCE MATRIX FLOAT 6 DIGITS

-- RESPONSIBLE PROGRAMMERS: R. W. Peterson
-- D. R. Hoff

-- DATE: 4/7/87

-- SCOPE:

-- The goal of this test is to measure the Track mathematical
-- program when its data is declared almost exclusively as a FLOAT
-- type. There is also a FLOAT and INTEGER types program and
-- the standard Track program with mostly FIXED point data.
-- The FLOAT data in this test is declared with 6 significant
-- digits. There is also a track program with 9 digit significance
-- and a SUPPRESS version of both the 6 and 9 digit Track program.

-- PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

-- The Track benchmark program was originally designed
-- to test a JOVIAL Compiler. It is an iterative program which
-- initializes then updates a mathematical matrix, which represents
-- a covariance matrix. It has complicated scaling considerations,
-- but with quite straight-forward logic.

-- CALENDAR is called at the beginning and at the end
-- of the program execution to give the program execution time.

-- SPECIAL EFFECTS:

-- Separate versions of this program have PRAGMA SUPPRESS
-- of the constraint-error range-check and numeric-error division
-- and overflow checks.
