This view contains an implementation of the proposed standards for
primitive and elementary mathematical functions, as defined by the
ISO-IEC/JTC1/SC22/WG9 (Ada), to be used on an Mc680X0 with a Mc68881 FPU.
o The directory Documents in the R1000 view contains the text of both
proposed standards and rationale for the standards.
o The package specifications Generic_Primitive_Functions and
Generic_Elementary_Functions follow the specification given in the
proposed standards.
o The corresponding bodies are implementations to be used with the
Motorola Mc680X0 microprocessor, with an Mc68881/2 coprocessor,
together with Rational Cross-Development Facilities (CDF).
o Packages Primitive_Functions and Long_Primitive_Functions are
functionally equivalent to the instances recommended by the
proposed standard for the predefined types Float and Long_Float,
respectively, but concretely in this version the generic form is
implemented based on those 2 packages for efficiency reasons.
o Packages Elementary_Functions and Long_Elementary_Functions are
functionally equivalent to the instances recommended by the
proposed standard for the predefined types Float and Long_Float
respectively, but are provided with direct support of the
coprocessor for efficiency reasons.
